The White Tigers- Third season begins

Welcome back to the start of the third season with Truro. Our aim to make Truro the most valueble club in the world.

After a long hard slog last season lets hope we can show we are making progress by imporving this season

So the summer break means one thing- TRANSFERS!!!!
And we spent a staggering £150!!!!

On their way in are:

Damon Lathorpe, a free agent, and a natural ball winning midfielder- this was a deal I actually finalized in March, but had to wait til now for him to join.

Another one which was organised last season, David Fitzpatrick, my new first choice RM/AMR

Next up is Dion Molynuex on season long loan from Newport Co. A solid DC and also my best defender

dan
Alex Lang is a young GK from Swansea- admit-ably not my original target, but he was willing to join us so he is my first choice this season

lang
Riley-Lowe joins us from Poole for a cost of £90, my new LB, currently 3.5 stars but can go to 4 stars, and at 22 will do a job for a couple of years I believe

connor
A RB, Alex Pike from Dorchester- a fee of £55- i personally think we robbed them, a potential ability of 5 stars, currently only a 2.5 star but still stronger then my other rb

alex
Matt Jay was the last transfer in and he was a free agent, a young striker who will do a job for us and as he progresses will go from strength to strength.

Im not gonna bore you with outs, you can see that from the picture below, but 3 were sacked and a player retired.

We had a very small pre-season, my assistant manager didn’t really bother so he will get a kick up the arse next season!!! Although we didn’t win a match all the teams we faced were much bigger and we came out fighting in each one.

So first game of the season was away to Aldershot, and we didn’t get off to the best start, a 2-0 loss, Mensah and Adi Yussuf scoring for them, we didn’t deserve to win, giving away too many fouls, only 3 shots at goal and 45% possession just tells the whole story

Our first home game of the season was against Woking- a little note is 885 attendance- much better then last season when it was around 200-300. Unlike the previous game we dominated the possession- Woking struck first, Ugwu slotting in from close range after 8 minutes, it took us till the 77th minute till Matt Jay scored his first goal for the club to grab us a share of the points

Away again this time Plymouth- we went into this game without Lang in goal, injuring himself in training meaning 2nd choice Purnell was up. And for the first time this season we took the lead, Neal smashing one in on the 24th minute, 11 minutes later Smith popped up and got them the equalizer, second half was a drag, apart from them picking up 2 yellow cards the only other note was Howell picking up a injury in the 78th minute putting him out from a groin strain for 3-4 weeks…

Next up is a home match against York, was a great game, Neal popping up again on the 24th minute to give us the lead, they then clawed back to level terms on the 33rd minute by Matt Fry. Then my darling first signing popped up again, on the left the mighty Callum Hall curling one in to give us the first win of the 2018/19 season.

The MOST BORING GAME EVER- against Sutton Utd- no highlights first half and only ones in second half was the goals, Neal scoring for the 3rd time in 3 games, and then Thompson scoring in the 84th to level game for a 1-1 draw

The last game of this update is against Southport, a bore draw against them, fairly even stats wise, and because there not much else to mention, there were 5 yellows in the match, 3 by them and 2 by us obviously.

As you can see from the picture below we are currently sat in 16th which is not a bad-ish start really.

The next update will most likely be in around 8 games time, meaning just before the start of the FA Cup

Hope you all enjoyed reading- until next time LATERS
