Crumbz’s Crystal Palace – A Quick Catch Up!

Hello there, and welcome to Crumbz’s Crystal Palace! A (hopefully) weekly blog, taking you with me through my FM15 save with, you guessed it, Crystal Palace. First things first, I am already into the third season, so today’s blog will be the 2014/15 season, and 2015/16 season in just screenshots at the moment until I catch up. There will be ups, and downs, and hopefully some glory. I hope you enjoy!

2014/15 Season:

Top Scorers: Patrick Bamford (29 goals all competitions), Yannick Bolasie (15 goals all competitions), Wilfried Zaha (14 goals all competitions)

Top Assists: Yannick Bolasie (14), Wilfried Zaha (13), Yohan Cabaye (11)

Player of the Season: Yannick Bolasie

Season Review: Shock of the season! No, no, no; not the fact I finished third, but the fact I got no manager of the month awards or manager of the season. Absolutely absurd! But anyway, what a season. We smashed it. Everton and West Ham got the sausage constantly, and we were the best tacklers in the league, as well as the team with the least yellows, reds and fouls. You can see who stood out, but the unsung hero’s were Joel Ward, Mile Jedinak and Jason Puncheon. They were integral to our success. But then I made a mistake… I set next season’s target as qualifying for the Champions League…

2015/16 Season:

Top Scorers: Raul Jimenez (24 goals all competitions), Wilfried Zaha (15 goals all competitions),  Yohan Cabaye and Yannick Bolasie (11 goals all competitions)

Top Assists: Wilfried Zaha (16), Yannick Bolasie (14), Andres Guardado and Yohan Cabaye (12)

Player of the Season: Yannick Bolasie (Somehow!)

Season Review: This season was just poor. Yes 7th isn’t that bad, but we were terrible. So many times we went on runs without a win, and many times we went unbeaten too! But we could not sustain anything because Bolasie forgot how to shoot in January, Bamford wasn’t the same player and the center backs were atrocious towards the end. Highs though, we beat Bayern Munich twice, Barcelona once and Dortmund twice (Yes you haven’t read it wrong!). We were unbeaten in the Champions League until Barcelona beat us in the groups last match, and then in the QF we were knocked out by eventual winners Manchester United. We still qualified for the Europa League though, as Arsenal won the FA Cup. We have to forget about this season fast, because my job is on the edge and I have to win my first 4 to stay as the manager of Crystal Palace. Will I do it? Find out next week.
